1. VISION<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

To see firmly established justice by 2029, where human and democratic rights are protected and the rule of law is ensured, making our Country in general and our Region in particular a model worthy of reference.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. MISSION<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To ensure the prevalence of justice in the Region; to safeguard the interests of the government and the public at large; to promote respect for human and democratic rights enshrined in the FDRE Constitution by enhancing public legal awareness; to ensure that criminal offenders are brought before the law and held legally liable for their offenses; and to guarantee citizens\u2019 freedom to association through realizing good governance by playing a leadership role.   <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    4. Duties and Responsibilities of the Head of the Justice Bureau<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Besides the Powers and Duties of the Justice Bureau enshrined under Article 16 of Proclamation No. 3\/2016 (Establishment of Executive Organs); and under Article 9 of Proclamation No. 12\/2016 (Powers and Duties of the Justice Bureau), the Head of the Bureau shall:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      <\/ol>\n\n\n\n
        \n
      • Provide strategic leadership to the Bureau<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Address gaps in attitude and skills of the staff through discussion and corrective measures so as to enhance the institutional performance<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Ensure the continuity and effectiveness of building the reform task forces of the institution<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Lead institutional change initiatives by setting directions,\u00a0 and continuously evaluate performances accordingly<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Adopt strategic plans and approve reports prepared by the Bureau<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Ensure effective performance of the Bureau through periodic (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, nine-month, and annual) evaluations<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Issue, approve and implement detailed operational directives applicable within the Bureau<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Coordinate, lead, and supervise the overall activities of the institution<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Lead overall internal organizational structures of the Bureau<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Coordinate, support, and guide other institutions accountable to the Justice Bureau<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        5. Organizational Structure of the Justice Bureau<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        The South Ethiopia Regional State Justice Bureau is organized into the following three main sectorial divisions that are accountable to the Head of the Bureau:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. Criminal and Civil Affairs Prosecution Sector<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Legal Affairs Sector<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Administrative and Financial Affairs Sector<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          5.1. The Criminal and Civil Affairs Prosecution Sector<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          This sector is organized into the following five directorates:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          1. Directorate of Corruption Crimes<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. Directorate of Tax and Economic Crimes<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          3. Directorate of Various  Crimes prosecution<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          4. Directorate of  Specialized Investigation and Prosecution of Crimes against Women and Children<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          5. Directorate of  Civil Prosecution of public Affairs<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            5.2 The Legal Affairs Sector<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

            This sector is organized into the following three directorates: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

            1. Directorate of Legal Research, Drafting, and public Indoctrination<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            2. Directorate of Advocates, Civil Societies, and Document Registration<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            3. Directorate of Human Rights Compliance, and Coordination Office of Cooperation Actions<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              5.3 Administration and Finance (Corporate) Affairs Sector<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

              The following directorates are organized under this sector:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              2. Procurement, Finance, and Property Administration Directorate<\/li>\n\n\n\n

              5. Gender Mainstreaming<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              6. HIV\/AIDS Mainstreaming<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
